Dr. Temesgen Tilahun Bekabil is a distinguished obstetrician-gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist based in Nekemte, East Wollega, Ethiopia. With over 17 years of integrated clinical, academic, and research experience, he stands among Ethiopia's foremost experts in women's health.
He received his Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Gondar in 2007, his specialty certificate in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Jimma University in 2014, and completed his subspecialty training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from Jimma University in collaboration with Claude Bernard University of Lyon, France in January 2026.
Currently serving as Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wollega University, Dr. Temesgen has also served at the highest institutional levels — as Hospital CEO, Chief Executive Director with the rank of Vice President, and as a key leader during the COVID-19 pandemic response in Western Ethiopia.
